Q. What is Day For HPU?
Day For HPU is a giving day that allows all of our HPU community to celebrate 100 extraordinary years. On April 10, 2024, get involved by making your gift to support the Premier Life Skills education and encourage student success across campus! With the dedication and faithful courage of our students, alumni, friends, families, and faculty and staff, HPU is able to provide numerous student scholarships each year.
Q. When is Day For HPU?
Day For HPU is officially on April 10, 2024. You can join us and add to the momentum starting at noon on April 9 and giving will remain open until noon on April 12.
Q. How can I participate in Day For HPU?
- GIVE to the HPU Fund for Extraordinary Education! Support scholarships for today's High Point University students or direct your gift to a fund that provides programming for our students and the community.
- WEAR your Panther Purple or HPU gear! Show your love for HPU with a photo on social media and tell everyone how you're celebrating Day for HPU.
- SHARE your story! Tell the world what it means to be a part of the HPU community using #Dayfor HPU. Q. What does the HPU Fund for Extraordinary Education support?
The HPU Fund supports scholarship assistance awarded to HPU students each year.
Q. Is my gift tax deductible?
High Point University is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Gifts to the University are tax-deductible to the extent allowed under Federal Law and IRS tax code.
Q. I’m an HPU Faculty and Staff member. How can I make a qualifying gift for Day For HPU?

Q. I’m an HPU Senior – does my gift on Day For HPU count towards the Senior Giving Campaign? How do I make a qualifying gift?
Day For HPU is a great time to make your senior gift for the year as your gift impacts both Day For HPU and the Senior Giving Campaign. Visit the Seniors and Students page for more information about how to make your qualifying senior campaign gift.
Q. Is there a minimum gift?
There is a minimum donation of $5.

Q. Can I make donations via mobile device?

Q. How much of my gift goes to High Point University?
GiveGab retains a 3% campaign management fee from all donations. Credit Card processing fees are an additional 2.5% + $0.30 for all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). If you make a donation of at least $100, you can save on fees by choosing to pay directly via your bank account. Donors who choose this option will pay a 3% GiveGab fee rate and a flat rate fee of $3. You are given the option to cover the fees and if you choose this option, 100% of your online charitable gift will go to the receiving designation. All donations are final and cannot be refunded. Any donations processed outside of the Day For HPU donation period, through GiveGab.com, or subsequent recurring donations are subject to transaction fees outlined on the GiveGab.com pricing page: http://info.givegab.com/pricing.
